David K. Allen

PRESIDENT

David K. Allen is the managing Broker Owner at Mount Vista Mortgage. After entering the mortgage industry in 2016, David worked for various lending institutions and financial advising companies before founding Mount Vista Mortgage in 2023. He has over seven years experience in financial products and lending guidelines. He also holds his CLA (Certified Liability Advisor) designation which allows him to advise clients on their lending options and how to best utilize them in preparation for retirement.

David is committed to educating his clients and providing them with all their options to succeed in homeownership at any phase in life.

David is married to his high school sweetheart Tayler. Together, they have three amazing boys, Boston, Greyson, and Hudson. They enjoy spending time together; taking advantage of everything the great state of Utah has to offer.

Lindsey Hawkes

SENIOR LOAN OFFICER

Lindsey Hawkes is our senior loan officer here at Mount Vista Mortgage. Lindsey started as a loan processor in 2019 and became a licensed loan officer in January 2020. She has opened brokerages in both North Carolina and Arkansas. Before entering the mortgage world she was a store manager for Wells Fargo Bank. She has years of experience in both finance and the mortgage industry.

Lindsey loves getting to know her clients and building lasting relationships with them as they journey through the home buying process. She works quickly and focuses on making the process as smooth as possible. She is committed to integrity and giving everyone she works with the best experience.

Lindsey is married to David Hawkes, who she met while attending Utah State University. They have three children; Jack, Mason, and Brooklyn. As a family they love to mountain bike, play pickleball, go camping, and spend time outdoors in beautiful Cache Valley!

Derick Cox

Derick Cox has experience in retail and wholesale lending and has been originating mortgages in northern Utah for nearly 5 years.

Derick created MTN Mortgage Group, a division of Mount Vista Mortgage, in June of 2025 with a goal of providing Utahn’s with an unmatched lending experience. Drawing on years of mortgage experience, Derick is known for proactive communication, smooth execution, and keeping clients informed every step of the way.

Kristin Munk

Kristin Munk is  one of our Senior Loan Officers here at Mount Vista Mortgage. With more than 18 years in the financial industry, Kristin found her passion for helping clients achieve homeownership when she transitioned into  Mortgage  Lending in 2014.  With a strong foundation in finance, she pairs her technical expertise with a genuine, client-focused approach to every loan she originates.

She believes home financing should be clear, straightforward, and stress-free. Known for her consistent communication and ability to simplify even the most complex lending details, Kristin takes pride in helping her clients feel confident and informed every step of the way. Her approach is rooted in relationships — built on trust, understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping families reach their goals.

Kristin lives in Hyrum, Utah, with her husband Joe, their two daughters, Hallee and Maycee, and their  2 pups, Bessie and Odie. When she’s not working, you’ll often find her spending time with family, exploring new local spots, or enjoying quiet evenings at home.

Courtnee Rosevear

SENIOR PRECESSOR

Courtnee Rosevear has been in the lending industry since her start as a bank teller while still in high school. She eventually moved up to underwrite both consumer and real estate loans for 6 years. After 12 years in the banking industry, she chose to begin her amazing career as a mortgage processor.

She coordinates with both the borrower and David to gather needed documentation and works directly with the underwriter to get the loan to closing. With over a decade of lending experience, you’re in great hands! Courtnee holds herself to a high standard of accuracy and reliability. Her number one priority is to be honest and maintain open communication with all parties involved.

Music is a big part of her life. She loves going to concerts and always seems to have a few planned ahead. She also loves to travel (especially to Disney!) and go camping/boating. She and her husband have three awesome kids and a tiny bernedoodle. She lives by her mantra, “Life is busy, but it’s beautiful chaos”.

Cathy Cornelius

Cathy Cornelius began her mortgage career in January of 2020 and has been a Loan Partner for over thirty Loan Officers. Over her career, she has assisted in the process of over four hundred consumer mortgages. In 2022, she was awarded Top Loan Partner with her previous brokerage.

She prides herself in interacting with clients and making sure all parties involved in the mortgage process are updated and well-informed. If something needs correcting, she will work tirelessly to amend any modifications that are vital to the mortgage transaction. Her goal is to make the loan process stress-free and enjoyable.

Cathy and her husband are parents to two amazing kids that are busy with hiking, paddleboarding, soccer, lacrosse, and football. She enjoys the freedom that the mortgage industry gives her, giving the perfect work/home balance.
